Abbey wearing her crown and watching the parade

On Labor Day Abbey, Lynette & I went to Payson for the day. We watched the parade, well at least most of the parade before it started to down pour. After the parade we headed to my mom and dad's house for a BBQ lunch. After we visited with my parents we headed to the park/carnival for a couple hours. Abbey & Maddison got to ride a few rides and we checked out the craft booths. At 3pm we headed for the high school to watch the PCT produciton of Beauty and the Beast. I was a little worried about Abbey sitting so long, but it actually kept her attention and she really like the show!!

Madison's Birthday & 1st Day at Little Gym Preschool

This child has no fear

Eating lunch at the birthday

On Saturday August 23rd we went to the Payson Pool and celebrated Madison's 9th birthday. We got lots of sun and Abbey can't wait to go back. She calls it "grandpas pool" since it is close to my childhood home. Happy Birthday Maddison!

The Little Gym

Abbey & "Miss Sarah"

Abbey missed her first day of "Terrific Tots" at Little Gym, but was back in the swing of things when she got back. This semester her teachers are "Miss Sarah" & "Miss Erin". She seems to love school and has made a couple of friends that we have had playdates with (Brynlee & Maddy).

Saying Goodbye

Abbey & Aunt Maureen

Aunt Maureen, Grandma Lynette & Abbey

Maureen, Mike & Abbey

After our day at Great America Dave & Lynette met us in the parking lot outside Great America to head for the SF Airport. We had such a great time and we love Jeff's aunt and uncle so much. They are so good to us and we always feel so welcome in thier home!! We can't wait to see them October! Our flight ended up being 2 hours late so needless to say it was a long night, but Abbey ended up sleeping the entire flight!!

Last Day in San Jose- Great America

The girls had so much fun on the rides together

Cute Cousins

The all time favorite spongebob!!

We spent our last day in San Jose at Great America. Jeff and Connor spent the day on the big rides while Kelly and I hung out with the girls. We had a fun day and the weather was perfect. Abbey loves this place because it is all Nickelodeon related and she is really into Dora & Diego and of course Sponge bob. I also went on the giant feet dangling roller coaster a few times with Jeff & Connor, but I'm pretty sure it attributed to my vertigo problems when I got back. I'm sure that Shauna is wishing she could experience that episode all over again!!!

SANTA CRUZ BOARDWALK

Abbey went on this ride 6 times in a row.............

Having a mid day sugar rush.

Finally convincing mom to go on a ride.

Checking to make sure she was belted in.

This is the merry go round my g'ma Net used to ride

"cheeeeeez"

Taking in a little sand and sun at the beach.

Chasing the birds away from our lunch.

This is the beach where my dad was a surf bum

After the wedding we spent the night in Santa Cruz and then spent Monday at the boardwalk and beach. We bought a boardwalk pass (for all the rides) and spent some time down by the beach. Abbey loved the sand and water, in fact she took her Dora bucket and sand toys and had a GREAT time playing with them. The carousel on the boardwalk has been there for years, in fact Jeff's grandma used to ride this carousel and she is 95 years old. When Jeff was younger he spent many weekends with friends surfing the waters of Santa Cruz. I know this place has lots of memories for Jeff and we always have so much fun when we go here!

Our family- Santa Cruz, CA 2008

This wedding was the reason for our trip to California. Danae and Gil were married on Sunday, August 17 at the Pastiempo Inn at Santa Crauz. The golf course had a background view to the ocean and the weather was perfect!! We had an awesome time and we also discovered that our Abbey is a great little dancer!!! She danced for nearly 2 hours and only took 1 break to get a drink. The reception was really nice, followed by a great dinner. After dinner came dancing and then they cut the cake and everyone started dancing some more!! Abbey even showed us some of her break dancing moves which she learned from Connor. Danae looked so pretty and we are so happy for them!! Thanks for a great time!!!
