doing her gymnastics routine

Yesterday was fall/winter graduation at Little Gym. The first part of the program the kids performed their individual gymnastics routine and they all did a great job. The kids were all so excited to perform!! The 2nd half of the day they performed the songs they have been learning and they also each received a certificate and medal. Abbey has been in the tots program since last June, therefore she is one of the oldest kids in the class. I decided to take her out of tots and put her in "real" preschool. She recently started preschool at Corner Canyon Academy in Draper. She LOVES it....... and loves her new teacher, Miss Allison. She is still going to stay at Little Gym and take a gymnastics class once a week. I love the Little Gym and would recommend it to anyone. The instructors are AWESOME and Abbey wants to go there every day if she could.

New Year's

Sleigh Riding in Park City

Abbey enjoyed being pulled everywhere in the tube

On our way to the tubing park

Eating lunch at 'The Eating Establishment'

Park City Mountian Resort (Alpine Slide)
We also kept New Year's low key, just a quiet dinner and a movie. The next day we headed up to Park City for the day. We spent time up near the Alpine Slide walking around and then we headed to Main Street to eat a late lunch. After lunch we headed to Gorganza Park to go tubing. This was SOOO much fun. We even met up with Stef, Chris & Brooklyn while we were there. We spent about 3 hours tubing and I think Abbey would have stayed even longer, but she was starting to get cold. We hope to go again soon!!

Abbey got her 1st ski pass to sundance

We spent an afternoon at Sundance a couple weeks ago. Abbey got her companion pass at sundance and next year we are going to put her in lessons. We played in the snow for awhile and checked out all the sites while we were up there. Abbey & I left Jeff there to snowboard and we headed home to buy a new christmas tree.

We all met at mom & dad's for dinner on christmas. After dinner we opened gifts and then headed to Peteetneet for some action filled sledding. It was really windy and cold, but we still had a good time. A little boy on the hill starting hanging out with Abbey and they spent a good few minutes slidding down the hill together and at one point they were holding hands, then she pushed him down and we didn't see him for the rest of the afternoon!!

Sometimes I forget how much I buy....opps
Christmas was alot of fun this year for us. Abbey totally gets the whole santa thing now, so it makes it fun for us. She slept in until after 8am and when she woke up she wanted to go see if the key was still under the mat. When she walked into the family room she just kept saying "ohh wow, santa is great". We had a fun morning and Jeff made us breakfast. In the early afternoon we packed up and headed to my mom's house.

Christmas Eve

And boy was she excited

Hiding the key for santa to get in
On christmas eve we opted to stay home. Jeff made us a nice dinner, shrimp and all. Abbey and I made sugar cookies and left a plate of them out for santa. We also made a BIG plate of cookies for Abbey's grandpa Dee. Abbey was pretty concerned about how santa was gonig to get inside our house since we don't have a chimney so I let her hide a key under the mat so he could let himself in!! =) She was all ovet that idea! She went to bed relatively early and she even slept in the next morning until after 8. Jeff and I watched a movie and then headed for bed.

Jeff's parents went to San Jose for christmas. They stay with Lynette's sister and they mainly went to see grandma Dot. So we celebrated christmas the sunday before christmas. We had Cafe Rio followed by lots of presents and a little 'Lawrence Welk' in the background. Abbey got some really fun toys from her grandparents and her cousins!

Stefanie & Brooklyn (taken by Abbey)

Abbey is so excited about her new Sleeping Beauty Dolls

This past fall we have been getting together on a weekly basis so the girls can play with each other. I met Jacy at Little Gym and we became instant friends (even more so now since an event that happened this past week, sorry Stef). Jacy then introduced us to Stefanie & Brooklyn and we have been hanging out ever since. The girls all play really well togehter and we enjoy the adult conversation. Lots of good times with these girls!

Little Gym Christmas Performance

"Tall, Tall, Tall"

Just before Christmas Abbey's Terrific Tots class had their annual christmas performance. They sang a bunch of cute christmas songs and they also drew names and exchanged gifts. Abbey received a cute wooden musical instrument set from Wolfgang. She picked Avery and I let her pick out her gift, ladybug game and a lipgloss set.

The last hour the parents helped their child decorate a gingerbread house. Abbey and I did not have the best of luck, I think Abbey put too many candies on the roof and it collapsed. Luckily the day before we had a playdate with Brynlee and Brooklyn and we decorated gingerbread houses (using the premade kit) and they all turned out really cute!!! Good Times!

It's been a long time since I posted, but these pictures are from a playdate back in November. I watched Amaya (I work with her mom) and we met Jacy & Stef and the girls for lunch and then headed to Jungle Jim's for the afternoon. Brynlee refers to this as the "monkey party". We had a great time and we really enjoyed watching Jacy put Carson in a ride (he is 5 months) and watch him almost topple out the other side. Way to go Jacy!!!!!
