JULY 2007

The month of July has come and will be gone in 2 more days so I will give a re-cap of our lives for the month of July.

July 1 was the annual summer party for Wasatch Electric (Jeff's Employer) so we spent the day at Lagoon. Abbey went on a few rides, but after we took her on the bigger airplanes we got off and she said, "Abbey don't like it," so we played a few games of Whack a Mole (of which I beat Jeff ) and won her a giant Elmo and Big Bird. She was thrilled!! We also dug the holes and set the posts for the shed we are building in the backyard.

I worked the 4th of July during the day and when I got off we went to the Olivier's house for Dinner and Fireworks. The kids also played on the giant slip and slid (which Abbey is not too sure about). Abbey is so my child as to the fact that she in not fond of DOGS!!! Kelly's dogs try and lick her and all she can say to them is "Stop It", but can you really blame her for not wanting an annoying dog in her face that also licks other parts of thier bodies?????

Kathie & Malissa (my Orlando buddies) stayed with us July 5- 11th so we spent alot of time hanging out with them. We mainly just ate alot of good food (Cafe Rio) and I also impressed them with my cooking skills and made them Panini Sandwiches for dinner. I wish they still lived in Utah because I miss them so much, but on the other hand I can visit Orlando and always know that the Delia' Bed & Breakfast will take us in for the week.

On July 9 Teresa & Spencer welcomed thier new baby girl (Zoe Stevenson) to the family. She was born at 11:15, and weighed in at 7 lbs 9 ozs. How cool is that, born on 7/9 and weighed 7 9. I informed my dad that if we keep going he may have his own brewd of sesame street characters (so far we have Abbey & Zoe)....

My neighborhood (740 West Street) has started up a Girl's Night Out on the 1st Thursday of every month. This past month we met at Applebee's and celebrated several July birthdays and exchanged gifts. It was alot of fun and really a great way to get to know all the neighbor's. I can't wait to go next month. I guess after 5 years we really need to know each other better!!

The 15th was my birthday (to those of you that forgot) and I celebrated with my family. Abbey is really into birthday parties (thanks to my mom in law for buying her Barney's birthday at a garage sale) so my parents bought a cake, bouquet of ballons and even bought her some gifts and wrapped them. So instead of celebrating my birthday we celebrated Abbey's pre-birthday. She got pretty excited and even sang happy birthday to herself and blew out the 2 candles on the cake. The best part was watching her run her fingers through every flower on the cake and saying "mmmmmmmmmmm goood". Later that day my sister and I went to the movie (License to Wed). All in all it was a good day and for the next few days I got to hear "mommy, birthday cake"?

This past month Abbey has impressed all the neighbor mom's at playgroup with her rendition of the ABC song. She has officially learned her ABC's and can count to 20. We struggled with the L M N O P part, but I think she finally has it down. We are now working on her colors...... Lellow and Gween seem to be the hit.

On the 18th we went with Leslee and Hunter to 7 Peaks for the afternoon. We only go down the small slides in the kid's area and Abbey loves the lazy river. She has no fear of the water and loves jumping off the sides of the pool..... 1 2 3 Jump!!!!

This past weekend I bought Abbey a Little Tikes Coupe and she absolutely loves it. We spend almost every day and night outside while she plays in it. She has even been sharing it with Hinckley (which says alot cause she does not like other kids touching her toys).

On the 24th of July we BBQ'd at our house and had a fireworks show with some of the neighbors. The best part was watching Dean light a firework and try to run with his cast and crutches. Abbey liked the show a little better than the fireworks we did on the 4th. We even had the Lehi Polie come by a couple times. They weren't fast enough to see the illegal ones though!!!! Maybe next year!!

I will attach some pictures tomorrow.....

June 2007

The past few weeks I have had Saturdays off (which I've been working weekends since I went back to work after having Abbey). So since Jeff and I have had a day off together we have tried to do some fun things on Saturday during the month of June. The 1st weekend Jeff and I went to San Diego and Abbey stayed a couple days with both sets of grandparents. The 2nd weekend in June was spent at my uncle's funeral (he died of cancer). My cousin (Alan Stevenson) was also killed that week in a plane crash in southern Utah so I went the funeral with my dad. Two weekends ago we went to Park City for the day and we shopped, ate lunch and went up to the Alpine Slide. Last weekend we went to Hogle Zoo for the day and this next weekend I will tell you about next week. On my days off I have been finishing painting in our room downstairs (Jeff put in a pocket door to the bathroom so we had to tear out a wall). Abbey and I also ventured to IKEA with Corrie and Abbey got a new train which she LOVES!! We have also been swimming alot at the outdoor pool in Lehi and we also went with Aunt Kelly and the cousins (McKinley, Connor & Sierra) to Seven Peaks. I am now going to attempt to attach pictures from our camera regarding our above outings. Hope you all have a great and HOT weekend!!!

My 1st Posting

Thanks to my friend at work (Aubrey) I have started a blog. I think she wants to find out some DIRT' on me. You think I would be a little more computer savvy and done this a long time ago, but since the arrival of Abbey it is all about her!!! She now runs the Eliason household and she calls all the shots!! She is even in charge of the tv at night (so we get to either watch Barney's Birthday, Curious George or Winnie the Pooh). This past weekend Jeff and I took Abbey to the Hogle Zoo. She loved the monkeys and the elephants. I would post some pictures from our outing, but Jeff forgot our camera. It was Corrie & Spencer's birthday this past weekend and Abbey called them both and sang "Happy Birthday" to them. I think she was more interested in knowing if either of them had a birthday cake!! She is so much like her Grandma Eliason!!

And THANKS to Aubrey for setting up my blog page and making it look good. I will post some pictures this week!!
