San Francisco

Jeff, Abbey and I went to San Francisco April 25- 29th. Abbey was really good on the airplane, it was not until we got to the airport in San Francisco that she decided to have a meltdown on the floor just outside the terminal. She wanted to stay at the gate and play on the little playground.

Once we got our rental car, we began to look for a place to eat lunch. We drove downtown and when Jeff spotted the first Roundtable Pizza he failed to look if anyone was behind him as he crossed two lanes of traffic and almost caused an accident, needless to say the guy behind us was a little surprised. We opted for Joe's Crab Shack at Pier 39 since we could not find a parking spot near the pizza place. After lunch we headed for the Golden Gate Bridge. We stopped at the Presidio and then headed to Baker Beach for the rest of the afternoon.

Here is a picture of Abbey after a long hot day at the beach. She was so tired she didn't even finish her dinner.

On Sunday we headed for San Jose to see Jeff''s grandma (Dorothy). We spent the early morning with her and Vossy (her caretaker). Grandma Dot wanted us to take her to lunch so we all piled in the car and headed to the little diner that she eats at every day. Inside grandma Dot's house she still has the original shag carpet and this funky round couch. Abbey took an interest in all her instruments, especially her piano.

After we left Grandma Dorothy's house we headed to Great America for the rest of the day. Abbey loved this place, the highlights included: Spongebob, Patrick, & Dora the Explorer. She is still talking about her day at Great America and I can't wait to take her back. It was so fun to watch how excited she got over everything.

We spent quite a bit of time at Pier 39.
