Thomas the Train
On May 22nd, we went with our neighbor's Tiffany and Zach to Heber to see Thomas the Train. Both Zach & Abbey got a tattoo on their face and hand. They each wanted a huge helium filled Thomas ballon that ended up filling my car to capacity as we drove home. I could barely see out the back window. It started out as a rainy day, but ended up being really nice once we got there. We also met up with Kathleen & Hamilton (friends from Little Gym) and ate dinner wtih them at Dairy Keen.

Abbey has found a love for singing while her dad plays the guitar, however it has to be the songs of her choice, "Going to the Zoo" & music from her "Disney Princess CD".
Playing in the Jeep with McKenna
Visit with Cousin Ethan
Patrick, Julie & Ethan came to Utah during the 1st week of May. Abbey spent a fair amount of time playing with him at Grandma & Grandpa Stevenson's.

We had Corrie & Jeremy over for a BBQ at our house. They brought the girls, Spring & Summer over to play with Abbey on her new playset.
A couple of weeks ago Abbey was playing with Chance and riding in her coupe car. Chance told Abbey to get out and she basically told him to wait his turn and he in turn bit her on the cheek.
After this happened to her she did not want to hang around him for several days. It is hard to see in the picture, but you could actually see all of his teeth.

April & May Happenings
We are still going to Little Gym Every week and Abbey gets excited every time we go. She loves her teacher "Miss Janet" and has made some cute little friends. Her favorite friend is 'Ellie, they play so well together and they both have the exact same color of hair.
This was taken by the all popular "Abbey". She has a new found love for our camera and every time we get it out she has to take at least 20 pictures.

Life is not complete for Abbey unless we hit the "All Famous," chuch e cheez, as Abbey would say. We have been here a couple times this past month, but it's more for the games & rides than the food. The food is way disgusting so if you plan on going here, eat before or go somewhere afterwards!!
Here is Abbey sporting her new Dora big wheel we bought her last month!!
We also bought Abbey a new playhouse/swing set for our backyard. These pictures are taken the day we removed the sod..
Abbey is taking a much needed break from sod removal with her friends.
L- Abbey & Chance
R- Abbey & McKenna
Here are some pictures from my uncle Cliff's funeral on April 23rd. He died of cancer on April 19th, (which which would have been my grandpa's 100th birthday if he was still alive).
Here is a picture at dinner (after the funeral) of my niece Zoe. She is so cute and I wish I got to see her more often!! I can't believe she will soon be a year old.
I will finish the update of May in my next post and try to keep up to date. I have been training at work and haven't had any free time to do my "stuff" and I never have any free time when Abbey is around!!!!
San Francisco
Jeff, Abbey and I went to San Francisco April 25- 29th. Abbey was really good on the airplane, it was not until we got to the airport in San Francisco that she decided to have a meltdown on the floor just outside the terminal. She wanted to stay at the gate and play on the little playground.
Once we got our rental car, we began to look for a place to eat lunch. We drove downtown and when Jeff spotted the first Roundtable Pizza he failed to look if anyone was behind him as he crossed two lanes of traffic and almost caused an accident, needless to say the guy behind us was a little surprised. We opted for Joe's Crab Shack at Pier 39 since we could not find a parking spot near the pizza place. After lunch we headed for the Golden Gate Bridge. We stopped at the Presidio and then headed to Baker Beach for the rest of the afternoon.

Here is a picture of Abbey after a long hot day at the beach. She was so tired she didn't even finish her dinner.

On Sunday we headed for San Jose to see Jeff''s grandma (Dorothy). We spent the early morning with her and Vossy (her caretaker). Grandma Dot wanted us to take her to lunch so we all piled in the car and headed to the little diner that she eats at every day. Inside grandma Dot's house she still has the original shag carpet and this funky round couch. Abbey took an interest in all her instruments, especially her piano.

After we left Grandma Dorothy's house we headed to Great America for the rest of the day. Abbey loved this place, the highlights included: Spongebob, Patrick, & Dora the Explorer. She is still talking about her day at Great America and I can't wait to take her back. It was so fun to watch how excited she got over everything.

We spent quite a bit of time at Pier 39.

April Showers & Snow
Abbey is not really understanding that it has to be warm to be outside. One day its nice so we spend the day outside and the next day we have a snowstorm. Regardless of the weather she would rather be outside playing.
We got her a new Dora big wheel and we also broke down and bought her a giant wood swing set with a playhouse. Jeff has been working on putting it together for the past 10 days. It should be done within the next few days!! We had to dig out 16 x 27 feet of our sod (which we gave to our neighbor's Dean & Lily, we figured it was the only way to help them attempt to do anything with thier yard). Abbey is quite the social butterfly of the neighborhood. She has a few new found friends, Chance, Josh & McKenna which she spends every minute outside playing with them.
We got our new wood floors installed in our dining room, new moldings, painted 2 accent walls chocolate brown and put up crown molding. I went this past week with Kelly to buy some new drapes so that should pretty much finish up the project once we get them altered and hung. I will post some pictures soon.
We are still going to Little Gym every week and Abbey looks forward to it every time. She loves to be with all the kids her age and have an hour to play, jump & tumble every week. I have enrolled her in 'Terrific Tots' for the summer semester. This is a class which prepares her for preschool.
This past week we went swimming with Zach & Tiffany(neighbor's across the street) at the Lehi Pool. Abbey is a little water bug. She will go down all the slides by herself and loves to jump off the side of the pool.
Abbey spent Friday night at Grandma Eliason's. She loves going there to spend the night and get spoiled by her grandparents. On Saturday she went with them to McKinley's soccer game and she was screaming and cheering when McKinley made a goal!!!! We picked her up that night and we went bowling in Sandy with Uncle Ryan & Aunt Abby. Abbey bowls with me so needless to say we pull some pretty good scores with the metal rack and Abbey thinks she is 'The Bomb' when she bowls a strike.
To end this post my Uncle, Cliff Laycock, passed away yesterday evening from bone cancer. I will miss him alot. He was such a great guy and so good to me and my family. I am so grateful that my dad lives just 3 doors away from my aunt so she won't feel so alone. I have so many good memories of being around him. He was always smiling and joking with everyone he came in contact with. I know he is in a better place and not suffering anymore and hope his family will receive many blessings of comfort. In my house I have a shadow box that he made for me that I keep my violin in and every time I look at I will think of him.

I'm Back To Blogging
Due to popular demand and everyone commenting on how I only blogged 2 times I'm back and promise to start writing more regularly and as an added bonus I will add pictures to my post.
During the 1st week of March, Abbey got the dreaded stomach flu and it lasted for 9 days. So needless to say we did alot of laundry and I felt so bad for her. She would start to gag and I would hold her head and back while she threw up. By the way, she is the only person that I will do this for, anyone else that is sick and needs help is completely on their own.
Abbey started her "Super Beasts" class at Little Gym at the end of January and "loves" her teacher "Miss Janet". Jeff thinks this class is an entire waste of good money, but she loves to run around and do her little gymnastic tricks. She also has made some good friends in her class (her favorite is Ellie, she too is a blue eyed red head)!!!
On the 10th was Jeff''s Birthday. We went out for dinner and a Jazz/Nuggets game and my dad stayed at our house with Abbey. Abbey and I got him a cute guitar cake and we made him a "yummy" salmon dinner. Abbey loves to sing happy birthday and eat cake. Jeff even let her blow out the candles when she sang "happy birthday to Abbey".
We started going to the Lehi Pool again this month. This year Abbey is brave enough to go down all 3 slides on her own. Sometimes she will wear a life jacket, but most times she thinks she is to old for the jacket because she can go underwater now!! We took a mommy and me class in February at the Orem Rec and she still refused to float on her back.
On March 16th I went to Disney on Ice "Princess Wishes" with my friend Shauna and her 2 daughters, McKenzie and Amaya. Abbey wore her Snow White dress for awhile, but then had to take it off so she could sit in her chair and hold her own popcorn and drink. Amaya also sported her love of Cinderella and wore a "beautiful dress and crown". She looked so cute!!!

On the 22nd, we went to Discovery Museum at the Gateway and took Abbey to eat breakfast with Elmo. We had to get up way to early to do this and Jeff was not to impressed because they only had healthy breakfast food so he thought it was a waste of money. Abbey was in heaven when Elmo came out, she gave him a huge hug and a high 5. The Sesame Street exhibit of the "body" was really neat and Abbey really enjoyed
it. As for Jeff, he took and early exit and headed for Starbucks!! We also went to South Town Mall and she got to visit the easter bunny for the 1st time. Later that night I had my parents over for dinner and an easter egg hunt with Abbey. My dad rang the doorbell and left her easter basket on the porch (since I had to work early on easter morning) and she ran all the way out to the sidewalk to see if she could see the e
aster bunny hopping away!
On Easter Sunday I worked and after we went to Jeff's parents for dinner, easter baskets and another egg hunt. After dinner McKinley, Sierra and Abbey rode the Jeep and Motorcycle in the front yard for awhile.

We got some new neighbors in February after the Bateman's moved out. Abbey will miss Courtney (her 1st babysitter) and Chloe, but in return gained a new friend Zachary. We got them to come to Little Gym with us and we have had a few playdates. The first few times we got the kids together they made each other cry quite a bit (they both have issues with toy sharing), but now things seem a little smoother as long as Abbey does not touch his 'cars.'
This sums up the month of March and I will post some pictures!!!!
